Eurostar trains arrive in Paris at Gare du Nord station while TGV trains depart usually from Gare de l’Est or Gare de Lyon. Thus rail passengers traveling through Paris often have to change not only trains but stations as well. Generally the easiest way to transfer between stations Paris is to use the Metro or suburban RER trains but for small groups it may be worth considering a taxi or even a private shuttle service. The transfer from Gare du Nord to Gare de l’Est is the easiest as it is usually fastest to walk. The transfer from Gare du Nord to Gare de Lyon is best done by RER train.

Travel by Shuttle Bus from Porte Maillot, Train, or Car to BVA Aéroport
Travelers to Paris Beauvais Airport (BVA) can use a cheap shuttle bus from Porte Maillot or train from Gare du Nord stations. Taxis and rental cars are expensive options.

Paris Beauvais Tillé Aéroport (BVA) is a small airport to the northwest of Paris. Paris-Beavais Airport is popular with low-cost airlines offering cheap flights to Paris. BVA is currently the third largest airport in Paris and used by low-cost airlines Ryanair, Wizz Air, and Blue Air. Ground transportation is not particularly plentiful but reasonably cheap and similar to that from other airports familiar to Ryanair passengers. Direct shuttle buses from Beauvais airport to Porte Maillot in Paris are usually the best way to travel but trains and shuttle services are also available. Taxis are relatively expensive but car rental is a sensible option if traveling towards destinations to the west of Paris including Normandy.

Direct Buses & Trains to Genève Aéroport (GVA) from Lyon, Grenoble, etc
Cheap buses, transfer services, and trains from Geneva Airport (GVA) in Switzerland go to French towns such as Lyon, Grenoble, Chamonix, and Alpine ski resorts.

Geneva International Airport (GVA) is on the Swiss-French border. Genève Cointrin Aéroport is used by travelers not only to Geneva but also to French towns such as Lyon, Grenoble, Chamonix, Chambéry, Annecy, and many Alpine ski resorts. Direct buses run from the airport to many French destinations while transfer services to Alpine ski resorts are popular and best reserved in advance, Train journeys from Geneva Airport to French destinations including Lyon almost always requires a transfer at Genève Cornavin station.
All public transportation, except taxis, from Geneva Airport depart from the Swiss side of the airport. Passengers go through the same (Schengen) immigration whether traveling to France or Switzerland but as Switzerland is not part of the EU, passengers using public transportation have to pass through Swiss customs whether traveling directly to France or not (and repeat the procedure at the train station or when the bus pass the border again).

Few Cheap Flights and Low-Cost Budget Airlines at SXB in Alsace
Flights to Strasbourg Airport (SXB) in Alsace, France are mostly not cheap as low-cost budget airlines do not fly to Alsace. Trains and other airports offer cheaper options.

Strasbourg Airport (Aéroport de Strasbourg Entzheim – SXB) is conveniently located only around 10 km to the southwest of Strasbourg. SXB is only the seventh busiest airport in France and thus serve only a limited number of destinations. Low-cost budget airlines do not fly to Strasbourg and as a result flights are often expensive and aimed at the business rather than the leisure traveler. For cheap deals and bargain flights it is often necessary to fly via Basel or to take the train.
Use major internet reservation services to compare prices, as deals may be available on quiet days. Paris to Strasbourg is often an expensive flight but the expense may be minimal when the flight is part of an international connecting flight routed via Paris.
