Am looking to stay there this year if I can find accomadation within the walls. would make a great location if day tripping around the valley, historic, interesting, sympathetic in its restoration with stunning views from all directions. It will almost certainly be the best choice but it very much depends on where in Friedrichstrasse you want to end up - it is a fairly long street. Trying to buy tickets in advance will almost certainly be more hassle than it is worth. If you plan on further group travel on buses or trains on the same day, consider a Kleingruppen-Tageskarte - €15 per day for up to five traveling together in zone AB. The TXL is a Jet Express Bus.
