RER and Métro trains with bus or ORLYVAL combinations are a good public transportation alternative to Les Cars Air France for travel to Aéroport Paris-Orly ORY.

Getting to Aéroport d’Orly (ORY) from downtown Paris is possible by public transportation using buses or the ORLYVAL to RER and Metro train stations. However, public transportation from Orly to Paris is more confusing than it needs be making may travelers opting for the simpler Les Cars Air France limousine coaches or private airport shuttles. Airport shuttles and vans can be worth the splurge for small groups, especially as it offers services directly to hotels and specific addresses in Paris and the Ile de France region. Airport shuttles should be reserved in advance – do compare prices as fares vary widely.

Cheap RER Line B Train to Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG)

Getting to Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) is easiest and cheap using suburban train RER Ligne B between downtown and the aéroport.

RER suburban train line B is often the best public transportation between downtown Paris and Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). Getting to the airport from Paris by RER train is relatively cheap and fast as the train does not get stuck in traffic. RER Ligne B stops amongst others at Saint-Michel-Notre-Dame, Châtelet-Les Halles, and Gare du Nord en route to Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2-TGV Station.

Getting to Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) from downtown Paris is easy by bus or rail. RER train line B is generally the fastest public transportation to Charles de Gaulle but many travelers prefer the convenience of bus services. The cheap Roissybus links the airport with Paris Opéra Garnier, the Les Cars Air France luxury limousine coaches go to Etoile, Port Maillot, Gare de Montparnasse, Gare de Lyon, and Orly Airport (ORY). Late at night and early morning, Noctilien buses provide a useful service to many parts of Paris. Small groups may find airport shuttles worth the splurge especially if hotels are not located close to the final stops of buses – prices vary widely so do compare before booking.

Getting to Charles de Gaulle Airport from Paris or Val d’Europe (Euro Disneyland) is easiest by RER train or by bus (Les Cars Air France, Roissybus, Noctilien, VEA Shuttle).

Ground transportation to Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) from downtown Paris, Paris neighborhoods, and Val d’Europe (Disneyland Resort Paris) is easiest, cheapest, and often fastest by train or bus. Suburban train RER line B3 goes from central Paris to Charles de Gaulle Airport while several bus services are available on Les Cars Air France, Roissybus, Noctilien Night Bus, and Val d’Europe (VEA) Shuttle.

  • For small groups, using a private airport shuttle service or even taxis may be worth the splurge giving the convenience of going directly to the hotel destination without having to transit or struggle with luggage through busy stations.
