Ashford Designer Outlet is a large new shopping center by McArthur Glen in Kent. Around 80 top brands have factory discount stores here selling designer label wares at discounts of up to 60% off standard retail prices.

Calvin Klein and Samsonite at Ashford Designer OutletFashion brands are the mainstay of the Ashford Designer Outlet but home and gifts are also better represented here than at many other factory discount malls. Fashion labels at Ashford include amongst others Abercrombie & Fitch, Calvin Klein Underwear, Fossil, French Connection, Gap, Guess, Lacoste, Marks & Spencer Outlet, Next, Polo Ralph Lauren, Superdry, Ted Baker and Tommy Hilfiger. Sportswear giants Adidas, Nike, and Reebok all have outlets here.

Further labels with outlet shops at Ashford include Bose, Crabtree & Evelyn, Hamleys, Le Creuset, The Body Shop, and Swarovski. Antler and Samsonite sell discount luggage to carry all the savings home.

Ashford Designer Outlet is open Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm and Sunday from 10 am (11 am for some larger shops) to 5 pm. The center is only closed on December 25, although shorter hours may apply around holidays.

The shops at Ashford Designer Outlet are grouped in a ring around an egg-shaped parking area. Although it is not a standard mall, shoppers are protected from the rain when walking from shop to shop by a tent-like sail roof.

Transportation to Ashford Outlet Mall

Ashford Outlet Mall can easily be reached by car, bus or train from London.

By car, use junction 10 on the M20 and follow signs to the Ashford Designer Outlet (or Ashford International Rail Station). Ample parking is available in the middle of the center. Parking is free weekdays after 6 pm. Use postal code TN24 0SD for sat nav GPS.

By train, use Ashford International Rail Station, which is a short shuttle-bus or a five-minutes’ walk from the outlet shopping center. Ashford can be reached in 37 minutes on high-speed rail from London-St Pancras, or on regular services from Charring Cross, London Bridge, Waterloo, Victoria and South Coast. Or arrive by Eurostar from Paris.

Shoppers in the east of London can also enjoy frequent sales at the huge Westfield Stratford shopping center, which can very easily be reached on public transportation from many parts of London. Further afield, the Braintree Freeport Outlet Shopping Village also offers huge factory discounts on designer brands.
