Rietveld Schroder House Kitchen View

The view from the ground floor kitchen in the Rietveld-Schröderhuis in Utrecht was originally of a meadow on a polder rather than an apartment building and later four-lane highway.

The window design was revolutionary for the period and included wooden panels that could be installed for privacy rather than using curtains. The panels facing the room were painted blue while black faced the exterior. At the right is the special windows for deliveries.
