Belvedere Apollo

Belvedere Apollo by Antico in the sculpture collection of the Liebieghaus Museum in Frankfurt

The small bronze Apollo Belvedere (ca. 1497) by Pier Jacopo Alari Bonacolsi, or Antico, is a highlight in the Renaissance exhibition. It was inspired by the large Apollo Belvedere marble sculpture which was discovered a decade earlier in Rome.
