Bronzes in the Capitoline Museums in Rome

Large bronze sculptures from antiquity are exceptionally rare but the Capitoline Museums have some of the finest on display in Rome. These include original Equestrian Statue of Marcus Aurelius (2nd century AD), the Capitoline She-wolf (5th century BC, Etruscan? maybe only 11th century AD?) โ€” the suckling Romulus and Remus were only added in the 16th century — and several parts including the head and left hand of the colossal bronze statue of Constantine (4th century AD).

On display in the Capitoline Museums complex (Musei Capitolini) in Rome, Italy.
