Front: “Mazzocchi” Horse
Equestrian statue made of bronze and restored during the eighteenth century
it belonged to a monumental quadriga (four-horse chariot). The name comes from an inscription placed on the base by the antiquarian Alessio Simmaco Mazzocchi.

The statue was found near the Temple of Fortuna Augusta. The horse is made from various ancient fragments which were assembled
in the nineteenth century.
