The modern, instantly recognizable building of the Riga Motor Museum in Latvia opened in 1989 during the final months of communism. A refurbishing in 2016 was partly financed by selling a 1938 Auto Union V16 type C/D racing car back to Audi. This fantastic museum had over hundred cars on display including the Kremlin Collection of limousines used by Soviet leaders.
