Danish Crowns

Danish Crowns

Christian V’s 2-kilogram Crown of the Absolute Monarch and the lighter Queen’s Crown were last used by a living monarch in 1840. Since the abolition of the absolute monarchy in 1849, these crowns are only used during the funeral ceremonies of a diseased monarch.
