Five Towers of Halle

June 27, 2020 by Henk Bekker

Five Towers of Halle

The Five Towers of Halle an der Saale viewed from the Galleria Kaufhof department store:

RIghte: Roter Turm, open for visitors – it was the campanile of the older Marienkirche that was destroyed when the new Marktkirche was constructed. The new church used the two set of west towers of two older churches and placed a new hall church nave in between the two sets.

Left corner: Handel keeps watch over the market and has a fine view of the beach volley ball too.
