Prisoners and David by Michelangelo

The gallery leading from the entrance to the David sculpture has various names inspired by the six unfinished Michelangelo marble works on display here. The official name is the La galleria dei Prigioni (Gallery of the Prisoners) named after the four prisoners (sometimes also termed slaves) originally intended for the monumental tomb of Pope Julius II.
