Cellini also repurposed an antique torso (probably originally a Bacchus) to become Ganymede snatching eaglets away from a full-size eagle at his feet — this is an ironic reversal of the usual legend of the eagle sent by Zeus two snatch Ganymede away to become a drinks bearer for the gods.
