The cathedral in ‘s-Hertogenbosch is dedicated to St John the Evangelist (many other churches are dedicated to St John the Baptist). The modern statue outside the cathedral show St John (Sint Jan, also St Johannes) with his typical symbols: the eagle and the chalice with a serpent.
