The Burning of Sodom fresco in the Camposanto Cemetery in Pisa was severely damaged by fire at the end of the Second World War. Only some parts survived including the scene where Lot and his family fled but his wife instantly turned into a salt pillar when turning to look back at the destruction of the city.
