A cable car hoists visitors up to the Niederwald Denkmal monument above Rüdesheim-am-Rhein in Germany. It is a pleasant walk through vineyards back to the Rhine but it is also possible to use a chair lift down to Assmannshausen and return to Rüdesheim by riverboat or train.
