Mausoleum of the House of Hannover

Mausoleum of the House of Hannover in the Berggarten

The mid-19th-century mausoleum of the Hannover family — not open to the public — is inside the Berggarten and optically in line with the Schloss, the Great Garden, and the Great Fountain. Elector Ernst Augustus and his wife Sophia, as well as their son George I of Great Britain, are amongst the family members interned here.
