The large series of paintings in the sacristy of Santa Croce in Florence with scenes from the life of Christ are by some of the most important painters of the Giotto school: Niccolò Gerini (Ascension, Resurrection), Taddeo Gaddi (the Crucifixion) and Spinello Aretino (Climb to Calvary).
