Torture Equipment in the Museum Gouda

Spanish horse

The Spanish Horse was used to tear a body apart by forcing someone to sit on the sharp metal edge, often with weights attached to the legs. A few hours on the horse could cripple a person for life. The pillar was used to attach someone for a flogging while the wooden structure behind was used when someone was broken on the wheel.
