Dionysus and Apollo

Dionysus and Apollo

Dionysus (Dioniso) is portrayed as a large male nude standing with a thyrus and adorned with vine shoots. His white limestone eyes were preserved while his mouth and nipples were produced using the copper damascening technique. It dates from the Hadrian Period (AD 117-138).

Apollo del Tevere / The Tiber Apollo is an over lifesize marble sculpture of Apollo, a Hadrianic or Antonine Roman marble copy after a bronze Greek original of about 450 BCE
