Charles de Gaulle used this car of General Dietrich von Choltitz from the end of the Second World War until becoming President of France in 1959. Von Choltitz famously refused Hitler’s direct order to destroy Paris in 1944. De Gaulle used the Horch at celebrator events and Choltitz action as a basis to built on peaceful relations with Germany after the war.
