Escape Speaker Box in the Mauermuseum Haus am Checkpoint Charlie

This model shows how a person hid inside a musician’s speaker box to be smuggled out of East Germany during the Cold War period. Welding equipment and suitcases were used in similar ways. It is now on display in the Mauermuseum Haus am Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin.
