New sightseeing savings tickets in Florence include time-slot reservations for the Accademia (Michelangelo’s David) and admission to the Bargello sculptures museum, with an option to add the Medici Chapels, Orsanmichele, Palazzo Davanzati, and Casa Martelli.

Michelangelo's David in the Accademia in Florence and Bargello on combination tickets

The Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze and the Bargello Museums introduced new combination ticket passes for cheaper and easier admissions to several of the top art venues in Florence. A basic combination ticket gives access to the Accademia and the Bargello Museum within two days. A more comprehensive 3-day, six-museums pass adds entry to the Medici Chapels, Orsanmichele, Palazzo Davanzati, and Casa Martelli. Both passes include time-slot reservations for the Accademia to see Michelangelo’s David and skip-the-line admission to the other venues. Visiting three museums more than covers the price of the combination pass.

From mid-March 2026, two new official combination tickets offer visitors to Florence easy savings at some of the top cultural venues:

  • 48-Hour Pass (€26) — admission to the Galleria dell’Accademia and the Museo del Bargello.
  • 72-Hour Cumulative Pass (€38) — admission to the Galleria dell’Accademia and all the Bargello Museums (Museo del Bargello, Medici Chapels, Palazzo Davanzati, Orsanmichele, and Casa Martelli).

For both passes, visitors make obligatory time-slot reservations for the Accademia when buying the ticket. Online tickets add a booking fee of €4, which is money well spent.

The passes are skip-the-line tickets for the other venues — go directly to the museum entrance. These venues must be visited earlier on the same day as the Accademia, or within 48 (72 hours) of the reservation time. (No extensions for closing days.)

Are the Accademia and Bargello Museums Passes Good Value?

Both combination passes offer excellent value for money for adults. Seeing three sights already covers the most expensive pass.

Regular admission ticket prices for the covered venues are:

It is also possible to see all the Bargello Museums (without the Accademia) within 72 hours for €25.

EU youths (18 to 25) may see any of these sights for €2 per venue, while admission is free for all visitors under 18. The standard online booking fees are payable, also for young visitors — usually €4 for the Accademia (and Uffizi) and €3 for most other sights in Florence.

All these venues are also covered by regular Florence museum passes, such as the Firenzecard and the Turbopass Florence City Pass.

How to Use the Accademia and Bargello Museums Combination Tickets

Whether buying the combination tickets online from the official B Ticket or in person from the Galleria dell’Accademia, Museo Bargello, or Orsanmichele ticket offices, the entrance time to see David must be booked. Other venues are seen within the time limit, or even earlier on the same day as visiting the Accademia.

If using the combination tickets for speed-sightseeing, prioritize the following highlights:

  • Accademia: David by Michelangelo
  • Bargello: superb sculptures in the Michelangelo Room (ground floor) and Donatello Room (first floor)
  • Medici Chapels: the Chapel of the Princes is impressive, but the art treasures are the Michelangelo sculptures in the simpler New Sacristy.
  • Orsanmichele: see the monumental Gothic tabernacle in the church and the original sculptures on the first floor of the museum.
  • The Davanzati Palace is interesting but not a top sight, while the short hours of the Casa Martelli confirm that it is not a priority on a short visit to Florence.

→→  Opening hours for top sights in 2026 -- most tourist sights in Florence have long hours, but advance time-slot reservations are always sensible.

The high season in Florence is increasingly long: Easter, May, July, August, and the Christmas holidays are especially busy. November and January to mid-March are the only quiet months, except for the February school holiday week.

Plan and book time-slot reservation tickets and tours early -- the Accademia and the Uffizi are often sold out weeks in advance. Top sights are quieter directly at opening time or in the late afternoon. It is more fun waiting in a cafe or piazza for your reservation time than in a slow-moving queue with no guarantee of actually entering a site.
