The Flibco shuttle bus service from Flughafen Frankfurt-Hahn Airport (HHN) to Trier and Luxembourg is not currently operating. The service to Thionville, Metz, and Nancy in France is also no longer available.
Public transportation from Frankfurt Hahn Airport to these cities is now far more complicated than it has been for years. Trier may be reached in two hours via Bullay (bus and train) or three hours via Koblenz (bus and train), but only a limited number of connections are possible every day. Check bus and train timetables at German Railways / Deutsche Bahn — the options are fairly dismal. Private airport shuttle services are a sane but pricey alternative.
NOTE in 2026: Public transportation and bus services to Frankfurt-Hahn Airport (HHN) are very limited. The Flibco airport buses (book online) to Frankfurt (via Mainz) or bus 615 to Koblenz are convenient, with trains from these cities available to all parts of Germany. Renting a car, taxi, or private transfers from Hahn may be very expensive but is an option for groups, families, or nearby destinations without public transportation links.

Getting to Flughafen Frankfurt-Hahn Airport (HHN) used to be cheap and fast on the Flibco shuttle bus from Trier and Luxembourg (Airport and Bouillon) but this bus service is no longer operating. The service to Thionville, Metz, and Nancy in France was also permanently canceled.
Taxis from Frankfurt-Hahn Airport are expensive, as the airport is far from major cities and other public transportation links. For small groups, private airport shuttle services may be worth the splurge, especially to destinations without direct public transportation links, but most low-cost airline passengers will find better value by using the cheaper buses. Compare and reserve in advance.
