Getting to The Mall Factory Outlet Stores near Florence

Transportation to The Mall factory stores is easy from Florence by car, train, bus, or shuttle bus service. A car certainly is the easiest option with ample parking at the shopping mall.

By car from Firenze, follow the highway A1 southeast towards Rome and exit at Incisa-Reggello. Follow the road towards Pontassieve – The Mall is just past the small town Leccio. The full address is The Mall, Via Europa 8, 50066 Leccio Reggello, Firenze, Italy.

By train, take the train from Firenze Santa Maria Novella to Rignanon sull’Arno. Form here, The Mall is a five-minute taxi ride away.

Using the hourly bus may be easier – the bus departs from the Florence Busitalia / Sita station at Via Santa Caterina da Siena 17 near the train station. The one-way fare is €7.

Private shuttle services are a good choice for small groups with pickups from many hotels.

The Mall offers huge savings on top brands. However, its popularity also means that bargains are increasingly hard to find. It is worth arriving at opening time to find items stocked early morning before huge bus parties turn up. As the shops are outlets, the wares may vary widely between visits, items may be out of season, and some may be b-grade wares – usually clearly marked as such. Bargain hunters should also bear in mind that 50% off Prada shoes may still be a lot more expensive than full price on many other brands. The real items are on sale here, not cheap imitations, fakes, or copies.

The high season in Florence is increasingly long: Easter, May, July, August, and the Christmas holidays are especially busy. November and January to mid-March are the only quiet months. Plan and book time-slot reservation tickets and tours when available in advance — the Accademia and the Uffizi are again sold out weeks in advance. Top sights are quieter directly at opening time or in the late afternoon.

→ →  Special opening hours for top sights in 2024 — most sights are open normal hours in 2024 but advance time-slot reservations when available are always sensible even for sights where bookings are optional.
