The hotel is directly attached to the Passages shopping mall across the road from the Binnenhof and a short stroll to other famous sights such as the Mauritshuis Museum, the Den Haag Gemeentemuseum, the Gevangenpoort, shops, and restaurants. Trams stop directly in front of the hotel with direct access to amongst others the beach of Scheveningen and the historic center of Delft.

The Novotel Den Haag City Centre

The Novotel Den Haag City Centre is a very pleasant mid-scale hotel in the center of The Hague. The hotel focuses on business travelers but as with other Novotels in Europe is also surprisingly family-friendly.

Free internet is available throughout the hotel but at busy times frustratingly slow. Guests can but envy the wifi signal of the adjacent KLM Health Services, which is much stronger and presumable faster too. A computer in the reception also gives free internet and printer access to guest on a first come, first use basis

Family-Friendly Novotel Den Haag City Centre

Passage in Den HaagThe hotel is very modern with bedrooms furnished in the typical light-wood Novotel style. The family-friendly bedrooms can accommodate up to four with sufficient towels and toiletries supplied.

Bedroom windows can open, which is fortunate, as even on a moderately warm summer night the air-conditioning did a dismal job.

A toilet separate from the main bathroom is useful but as with most other Novotels without an own washing basin. The bathroom itself is bright and well lit.

Children under 16 sleep for free and breakfast for free with parents. The breakfast buffet is typically Dutch – very extensive with a huge selection of international and Dutch favorites. At €24 the price is high but it is often included for half price with advance reservations and with a child sharing it becomes positively a bargain for guests with large appetites.
